Apache HTTP Server configuration files

The list of Apache HTTP Server configuration files. This includes both Active and Inactive configuration files.

Active configuration files
1 in /usr/local/apache2/bin/
1 in /usr/local/apache2/conf/
3 in /usr/local/apache2/conf/extra/

Inactive configuration files
9 in /usr/local/apache2/conf/extra/

Inactive configuration files (BACKUPs)
1   in /usr/local/apache2/bin/

Active Configuration files

Contains the default environment variables for apachectl

httpd.conf
Main Apache HTTP Server configuration file.


/usr/local/apache2/conf/extra/

httpd-default.conf
Contains the default settings for Apache HTTP Server.
NOTE: We had manually enabled this configuration file from httpd.conf

httpd-info.conf
Contains the settings that enables to get information about the requests being processed by the server and the configuration of the server
NOTE: We had manually enabled this configuration file from httpd.conf

httpd-mpm.conf
Contains settings related to the MPMs or Multi Processing Modules.
NOTE: We had manually enabled this configuration file from httpd.conf

 

Inactive Configuration files

httpd-autoindex.conf
Contains the settings that control the display of server-generated directory listings
NOTE: You have to manually enable this configuration file from httpd.conf

httpd-dav.conf
Contains the settings related to WebDAV or Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning
NOTE: You have to manually enable this configuration file from httpd.conf

httpd-languages.conf
Contains the settings for hosting different languages
NOTE: You have to manually enable this configuration file from httpd.conf

httpd-manual.conf
Contains the settings that provide access to the documentation on your server through URL http://DOMAIN.com/manual/ which is originally available at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/

httpd-multilang-errordoc.conf
Contains the settings to implement multi-language error documents through content-negotiation
NOTE: You have to manually enable this configuration file from httpd.conf

httpd-ssl.conf
Contains the settings for providing SSL support

httpd-userdir.conf
Contains the settings for user’s home directories

Contains the settings for Virtual Hosts

Contains the settings for configuring Apache HTTP Server as a reverse proxy
